Cardston Tournament

The cardston tournament wasn’t a pleasent winning streak for us, more or so a wake up call that we really got to work harder. We lost both our games, first to Cardson, then to Raymond, by a margin of about 30 points. The trip there was nice though, I got to now some of the player on the team better, we had fun on the 3 hour bus ride with the Senior boys there and back. We left Calgary around 2:00 pm Friday afternoon after school finished and arrived at the Cardston country inn at around 5:30 pm. Me and the junior boys went to play an exhibition game against Cardston while the seniors got dinner then went to Cardston high school for the official tournament. After getting our butts kicked by the Cardston junior boys we grabbed dinner at Yottee’s before going to watch the Senior boys play W.R. Meyers. The seniors boys won the game convincingly and obtained the lead pretty much the entire game. We all walked back to the country inn which should have taken around 10 minutes, but with coach Tyler K’s directions we walked around a field, went down a very steep hill, and around a fence we were back at the inn in around half an hour.
Next morning the me and the junior boys got breakfast at Yottee’s and we all boarded the bus to Raymond which was around a 45 minute drive from Cardston. After getting our butts kicked by Raymond we came back to Cardson and watched senior boys basketball for the rest of the day at the Cardston cougar classic. The senior boys won their next game against the home team Cardson 57-53, but lost in the finals to Raymond by 20 or so points. The boys finished with an awesome second place in the tournament and brung home the second place trophee. After everyone was ready to go we made a snack stop at the mini mart before heading back home to Calgary and we were back at school at around 1 am.
It was a good tournament but would have been much better if we actually won a few games but oh well. I just woke up a few moments ago having a good 12 hour sleep and it feels nice to be back home.2
